Operator Licence Awareness pilot

What learners can expect, how DriverWell protects the learning record, and how to request support or review.

Pilot OLA-2026.08-P1Effective 30 August 2026Next planned review August 2027

Current status: this is an internal awareness-course pilot under preparation for possible independent assessment. No CPD or RoSPA mark should be used unless written approval is later received for this specific activity.

Activity status and scope

Operator Licence Awareness is an internal DriverWell awareness-course pilot. It is not currently CPD accredited, CPD certified, CPD approved, RoSPA approved, Driver CPC training or a regulated qualification. It does not replace current official guidance, an employer's procedures, a transport manager or competent legal and compliance advice.

Learning and assessment

The pilot uses five published learning objectives, three source-linked modules and a ten-question knowledge check. The DriverWell internal pass threshold is 80 percent. Learners may review the modules and retry the check. An internal result is a learning record only and does not award external credit, a professional licence or a certificate.

Accessibility and reasonable adjustments

DriverWell aims to provide keyboard-accessible, mobile-friendly learning with visible focus controls, readable contrast and optional text-to-speech. Signed-in learners can submit a confidential request for learning support or a reasonable adjustment. DriverWell will consider reasonable, proportionate changes while protecting the integrity and safety boundary of the activity.

Complaints and assessment review

A signed-in learner may use the confidential learner-request form to raise a complaint or request an assessment review. The request should identify the issue, relevant course version and desired outcome. DriverWell will review the controlled course record and respond through the account contact route. Raising a concern does not affect access to private wellbeing support.

Privacy and employer separation

Learning progress, scores, answers, active-learning time, private reflections, feedback and learner requests are not disclosed to an employer. A learner may separately opt in to allow only course-start and internal-completion status to contribute to a non-identifying employer aggregate. That aggregate is suppressed below ten consenting linked learners.

AI study assistant

The optional AI study assistant receives only the selected published module, its key learning points and official source link. It does not receive the knowledge-check questions, answer options or correct answers. Its summary supports revision but does not replace the source guidance or provide legal advice.

Quality improvement

Pilot feedback must be genuine. DriverWell does not create simulated completions, invented feedback or backdated evidence. Course ratings and comments may be used to improve a future controlled version. Significant content changes will be recorded and may require a fresh external assessment after accreditation.
