Fertility Treatment and Transport Work

Treatment schedules, symptoms, medicines, procedures and emotional effects vary. Use advice from your clinic and prescribing professional for your own treatment and fitness for safety-critical work.

No individual medical, licensing or employment decision
DriverWell does not decide whether you can drive, whether a medicine affects driving, how long to wait after a procedure, whether DVLA notification is required or what legal right applies at work.

Follow the clinic's written instructions, the medicine leaflet and advice from the prescribing professional. Do not undertake a safety-critical task if you cannot do it safely.

For a licensing question, use current DVLA guidance or contact DVLA. For a workplace question, use current ACAS guidance, a union or qualified legal advice.

Questions to plan with the right people

With your clinic

Ask how appointments, medicines, storage, possible side effects and procedure aftercare fit around work and travel.

Ask for written instructions when a procedure or medicine affects driving or other safety-critical duties.

At work

You can ask what appointment, occupational-health, flexible-working or adjustment routes are available.

Share only what you choose or what a specific legal or safety duty requires. DriverWell does not determine that duty for an individual case.
