New on DriverWell: Just Culture Support and Clearer Wellbeing Champion Visibility
When a serious incident happens, the immediate priorities should be safety, welfare and a fair understanding of the facts.
DriverWell has published a new Just Culture resource for transport workers, managers and fleet operators. It explains how organisations can learn from incidents without defaulting to blame, while still maintaining proper accountability.
What Just Culture means
A Just Culture does not mean that every action is acceptable or that formal procedures disappear. It helps an organisation distinguish between honest error, system weakness, risky choices and deliberate or reckless conduct.
That distinction matters in transport. People are more likely to raise concerns about fatigue, near misses, unclear procedures or unsafe systems when they believe those concerns will be heard fairly. Managers still need to investigate properly, preserve evidence, follow fair procedures and take proportionate action where necessary.
Read the DriverWell Just Culture resource.
Connected post-incident support
The resource links directly to DriverWell's post-incident trauma pathway. This covers the first 48 hours after a fatal or traumatic road incident, common early reactions, employer responsibilities and routes to professional help.
Open the post-incident support pathway.
Clearer Wellbeing Champion visibility
Signed-in champions can now see their active status clearly in Settings and open their dedicated dashboard. Fleet operators can see aggregate champion activity, including nominations, active champions, peer check-ins and anonymous concern totals. Operators are not shown names, private notes or individual wellbeing records.
The concern counter has also been corrected so that only check-ins where a concern was explicitly flagged contribute to the total.
Support for workers and operators
DriverWell provides free wellbeing support for transport workers. Fleet operators can begin with the Free Dashboard, with the Fleet Wellbeing Suite available as an additional paid option.
The resources support fairer conversations, safer learning and clearer routes to help. They do not replace competent legal, HR, safety or clinical advice for a particular case.
