A Busy Month at DriverWell
We've been working hard behind the scenes to make DriverWell better for every professional driver and transport worker in the UK. This update covers everything we've added and improved over the past few weeks — from mobile experience fixes to brand new resources and partner integrations.
Mobile Experience Improvements
We know the majority of you access DriverWell on your phone, often between shifts or during breaks. That's why we've invested significant time in making the mobile experience cleaner and more intuitive.
Redesigned mobile navigation menu — The slide-out menu has been completely overhauled. When you're signed in, you'll now see your name and profile at the very top of the menu, so you always know which account you're using. Settings and Sign Out are now pinned to the bottom of the menu, exactly where you'd expect them.
Admin access on mobile — For platform administrators, all admin tools (Admin Dashboard, Blog Manager, Sponsor Manager, Security Monitoring) are now accessible directly from the mobile menu. No more needing a desktop to manage the platform.
Cleaner homepage layout — The Daily Vehicle Check and Shift Logger banners on the homepage have been redesigned to fit properly on small screens, with compact buttons that don't overflow off the edge of the display.
Recommended Apps for Drivers
We've added a brand new "Apps That Make Your Life Easier" section to the homepage, featuring four trusted tools used by professional drivers across the UK:
Motorway Buddy
The UK's leading driver compliance app with over 250,000 downloads. Walk-around checks, truck stop finder, freight crime hotspot map, and BuddyPay — all in one place. Available on iOS and Android.
inTruck
Find major truck parks and truck washes across the UK. Filter by facilities and SNAP acceptance to find exactly what you need, when you need it. Available on iOS.
SNAP Account
The digital payment network for truck stops across Europe. Find parking and washing facilities near you and pay without cash or card hassle.
Fleet Planner
DVSA-compliant daily vehicle walk-around checks with real-time employer notifications and defect reporting. Keeps you and your employer covered.
All four apps are linked directly from the homepage with Visit, iOS, and Android download buttons where available.
Motorway Buddy — Featured Driver Resource
We're featuring Motorway Buddy as a recommended tool for drivers in our new "Featured Driver Resources" section on the homepage. Motorway Buddy has been helping haulage drivers with compliance, truck stop finding, and freight crime awareness since 2013 — and with over 250,000 downloads, it's one of the most trusted apps in the industry.
We're not in a commercial partnership with Motorway Buddy — we simply think it's a genuinely useful tool for drivers and wanted to make sure our community knows about it.
Expanded Resources Directory
The External Resources Directory has been expanded with six new entries covering driver compliance, payments, and regulatory bodies:
- DVSA Earned Recognition — The government scheme that rewards operators with a strong compliance record
- SNAP Account — Truck stop payment network across the UK and Europe
- Logistics UK — The UK's leading logistics trade association, representing over 20,000 businesses
- DVLA Vehicle Enquiry Service — Check any vehicle's MOT, tax, and insurance status instantly
- inTruck — Truck stop and truck wash finder for UK drivers
- Fleet Planner — DVSA walk-around check management for drivers and fleets
These join the existing resources covering mental health, medical fitness, DVLA guidance, and legal support.
What's Coming Next
We're continuing to develop DriverWell based on your feedback. Here's a preview of what's in the pipeline:
- Driver Wellness Scoring — A personalised score based on your assessment history, sleep, stress, and fitness-to-drive data
- Push Notification Reminders — Opt-in reminders for medical assessments, medication reviews, and DVLA renewal dates
- More Featured Resources — We'll continue to highlight useful tools and platforms for drivers and transport workers as we discover them
If you have a feature request or feedback, use the Share Feedback button in the app or email us directly. Every message is read by a real person.
